The LSRC Advisory Committee does have regulations and policies that each group must follow. The committee will only allow Duke affiliated groups to use this science and research center.

Equipment

The following equipment is provided in the facility:

• Trash receptacles
• (2) 8 ft. tables
• (2) couches
• Registration room

Technical

The facility does not have a sound system or extensive power distribution. The Event Advising Center would be able to arrange these services through technical services for an additional charge.

Housekeeping

Normal cleanup services are included in rental fees. There is an additional charge for unusual cleanup and building damage. Student groups using subsidy must pay for housekeeping separately.

Sanitation

A standard inventory of indoor trash receptacles is provided. Additional sanitation services are available at additional charge.

Parking

Parking is available in the parking deck behind the Bryan Center across the street from the LSRC building. Visitors can park in the deck for a fee ($2 per hour) and special arrangements can be made for larger groups.

Catering

Food and drinks are allowed in the facility. Event Management maintains a list of approved caterers. This venue does not have a prep kitchen available.

Handicapped Accessibility

The entire facility, including restrooms, are fully accessible to disabled persons.

Interior

The Hall of Science is a reception hall located in the center of the LSRC. It has soft tile floors, high ceilings, and is very well lit due to the glass doors at either side of the facility. There is a large staircase in the Hall which leads to the Auditorium.
