Conference Services Home

Duke offers a variety of on-campus accommodations to serve your summer programs. The most popular option is our furnished, non-air-conditioned and air-conditioned dorm rooms located on Duke's scenic East or West campuses. Dorm room sizes vary from some singles, mostly doubles to a few triples. Duke also offers fully furnished, air-conditioned apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms in size. All dorm rooms offer a commons bathroom arrangement while apartments have private baths. Housekeeping is done on a daily basis to commons areas only.

Each residential summer program is given 24-hour a day, seven day a week service while they are housed on campus. Rooms do not come with linen service, although this can be arranged for your summer program for a nominal fee. WEST CAMPUS HOUSING
West Campus is organized into six residential quads - Craven, Crowell/Wannamaker, Eden's, Few, Keohane, and Kilgo. All West Campus halls, with the exception of Crowell and Craven Quads, are air-conditioned.

Rooms are arranged in a combination of singles, doubles and a very few triples. Most buildings are arranged on a hall system with a shared hall bath. Private baths are not available. Beds are long singles and arranged in a "low-loft" style, approximately 40" off the floor.

EAST CAMPUS HOUSING
East Campus has a unique role in the history of Duke University. Once the site of the former Trinity College, East Campus was formerly the Women's College from 1930 - 1972. East Campus housed both male and female first year students and upperclassmen until 1995 when it was designated as the first year student campus.

All first year students reside together on East Campus. The fourteen residence halls provide an environment that is small enough to allow for the development of close knit personal relationships but are large enough to bring people together from many different backgrounds and experiences.

Most halls are not air-conditioned. Rooms are arranged in a combination of singles and doubles. Buildings are arranged on a hall system with a shared hall bath. Private baths are not available.
